The Inauguration was emotional, but having been a US Citizen for a long time, that page is more emotional to me.

That does mean a great deal. I CAN be in favor of civil unions if they are the same as marriage without the word marriage. Unfortunately, this is just not the case. There will always be technicalities if we are not allowed to use the term "married". That is unless EVERYBODY has to use the term civil union and leave the term marriage up to religion.

I just was happy to see LGBT Rights even be mentioned on an official WhiteHouse.gov page.

Hmmm, still a looong way until my own country displays something like that. Still, it's a really nice thing. I, after all, intend to seek American citizenship sometime...
